You Must of Got Manure for your Brains

Well, day 1 was a bust.

Somehow I managed to miss my flight from Houston to Quito. Apparently I was so busy admiring my packing job I forgot to pay attention to what I was doing. I guess my best excuse is something like the excuse given by Chevy Chase in Vacation, “I’m from out of town”. See video clip below.

So, after one night stay in Houston, I will try again.

Bad news: I now have to make another connection rather than a direct flight.

Good news: I get in much earlier in the day and get to land in Panama City. Does that count as a visit to Panama?

Anyway, hopefully today will be a better one for this dumb-ass gringo.
