Final Project Results
December 9, 2013
Here are the scores for your Final Project.
Brief commentary: most people did a good job but a number of students appear to have simply copied their work from the related regression exercise earlier in the term and skipped over other parts of the assignment. Several students didn’t bother to produce any graphics or descriptive statistics. One pair of students decided they would hand in only 1 project with both of their names on it. I find this surprisingly lackadaisical given that the project represents 25% of your grade.
Grading criteria: I graded the final project using 7 different criteria. First, the 5 different tasks as listed in the project description (i.e., [1] Graphs + Descriptive Statistics, [2] Regression Model, [3] Estimates, [4] Confidence Intervals and [5] Hypothesis Testing) were each worth 10 points. Your 30 property data [6] records were worth up to 30 points and the [7] quality/clarity of your PowerPoint presentation was worth another 20 points. Total of 100 points possible. Please check your score and send me an email if you have questions.
